Conference Debate "Pathogenic and Therapeutic Novelties"

On demand of the town of Silly "Présence et Action Culturelle" (Presence and Cultural Action), the Belgian patient association GIPSO asbl organised a conference-debate on the "Pathogenic and Therapeutic Novelties in Psoriasis", on the development of related research and treatments.

The success of this event was achieved thanks to Dr. Pierre-Dominique GHISLAIN, hospital-based dermatology specialist, consultant at the Saint-Luc Clinics of the UCL and responsible of the National Reference Centre for Biotherapy Studies in Psoriasis.

His professional competence and his skills at entertaining a audience brought the attendants a well-adapted information on the facts and consequences both of the illness and the treatments.

Talking about new therapies resulting from biogenetic research, he evokes feelings of hope and confidence on a future that still seems very uncertain and even problematic for psoriasis patients, who were nontheless reconforted by words filled with humanity, without neglecting the social, emotional or professional aspects related to this pathology.

The audience applauded and thanked warmly Dr. Ghislain for his time and knowledge.

Representing GIPSO, Antoinette Romeo (President), Jules Leroux and Francis Delorge thanked  the President, the Secretary, the Treasurer and the animators of Présence et Action Culturelle for their initiative in favour of people suffering from psoriasis, disease still poorly known, understood and lived.
