2009/03/24 - News from patients associationsThe Executive Committee of EUROPSO has decided to announce its strong support to the European Dermatology Forum, EDF.
The Forum has published a White Book with an action plan in November 2000.
The action plan proposes:
- A task force should be created with a common executive between the dermatology organisations in Europe with a plan of action and work program.
- A Dermatology Foundation for Europe should be established financed by the European Dermatology organisations, EEC, private and industrial resources. This will provide a research fellowship and exchange fellowship programme for the young investigators in Europe and foster European cooperatives. The Rene-Touraine Foundation may provide the nucleus of expertise and funding for this.
- Rationalisation of European meetings and organisations including the possibility of shared infrastructure should be actively encouraged.
