2nd Symposium of the French Psoriasis Group
2008/11/24 - News from medical groupsThe 2nd Symposium of the French Psoriasis Group was held on October 23, at Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris.
The French Dermatological Society accredited this Symposium for Continuing Medical Education. The pedagogic goals of this symposium were:
- the diagnostic and treatment of psoriatic arthritis (conference of Thomas Bardin (Paris) – « Update on psoriatic arthritis »);
- liver surveillance on Soriatane® and methotrexate (conference of Matthieu Allez (Paris) – « Liver and Psoriasis »);
- new strategies for topical treatments (conference of Michel Le Maître (Caen) – « Topical treatments of psoriasis. How to choose and how to use them? »);
- the best strategies for the use of classical treatments:
- phototherapy (conference of Michel Jeanmougin (Paris)– « Good use of phototherapies »),
- Soriatane® (conference of Louis Dubertret (Paris) – « On the good use of retinoids »),
- methotrexate (conference of Marie-Aleth Richard (Marseille) – « Systemic treatment : good use of methotrexate »),
- cyclosporine (conference of Marie Beylot-Barry (Bordeaux) – « Systemic Treatment : good use of cyclosporine »);
- update on psoriasis physiopathology (conference of Martine Bagot (Créteil) – « Physiopathology update and new therapeutical targets (anti IL-12/23) »);
- update on the knowledge of biological treatments:
- conference of Carle Paul (Toulouse) – « Biotherapies’ contribution to psoriasis: effectiveness findings »
- conference of Hervé Bachelez (Paris) – « Biological treatments of psoriasis : tolerance findings »
- conference of Denis Jullien (Lyon) – « Practical modalities of biological treatments »
- to learn how to reason upon clinical cases (conference of Louis Dubertret (Paris) – « Interactive clinical cases »).
