Patient Guidelines on Psoriasis
2008/11/14 - News from patients associationsThe German self-help organisation, Deutscher Psoriasis Bund e.V., edited a Guideline on Psoriasis for patients (germ.: Patientenleitlinie). It is based on the medical S3-Guideline, which has the highest quality in evidence-based medicine. The Patient Guideline has been authored by a group of health professionals in cooperation with German Resident Doctor’s Associations, Berufsverband Deutscher Dermatologen (BvDD) and Deutsche Dermatologische Gesellschaft (DDG). The Patient Guideline is addressed to laities, who suffer from psoriasis and want to know the state of treatments in psoriasis. The medical terminology from the S3-Guideline for health professionals has been translated into “normal” language, understandable for laities. The purpose of the guideline is to enable patients to talk to their doctors at eye level. The Patient guideline can be ordered for free from Deutscher Psoriasis Bund e.V.
